Last night, the owner tried a new format: Individual trivia. We all played as individuals, not as a team. After 12 questions, the top five people were in the final round (and all got prizes). He asked more questions in an elimination. To make a long story short, I won.
Go me!
The cash prize (not a certificate) was nice. And the plan was to hold the individual trivia regularly and eventually have the winners in a contest, which means that I'm already entered. We'll see how that goes.
While we weren't supposed to help anyone else, our team has been together for years (predating my joining them) and hints were given. I was the beneficiary of some of the hints, and tried to reciprocate, but even my hints were too obscure.
Q. What is the oldest US National Park? My hint: Don Messick. This didn't help anyone...
Q. Who is the voice of Ned Flanders on the Simpsons? My hint: Leave It To Beaver. *sigh*
Well, back to hacking away at the Convergence gallery... another post about accordions later today...
