Time Event
A Light Bulb With Its Own Web Site
Gleaned from an article in the STrib on Ripley's Believe It Or Not:

A carbon-filament 4-watt light bulb has been burning in the Livermore, CA, fire department since 1901, making it the world's oldest-known working light bulb. It may be the only light bulb with its own web site. I've heard of this bulb before, and am still amazed. I'm also amazed that no one's ever turned it off.
What I Did On My Summer Vacation
After mulling it over for a while, I decided to plop all worthy pictures into one medium-sized gallery instead of splitting them into many small ones. This meant adding some family pictures to the general galleries, but I suspect most will like baby pictures.

Summer 2006. From Cryo Ruggie's pig roast to the MN State Fair.
Convergence '06 pictures are in their own gallery, previously posted.

As usual, the gallery is not finished and LiveJournal is getting a preview. Quite a few of my friends list is in here. Including (but not limited to): alierajean, bchbum_98, brithistorian, cari_rose, davidwilford, dmnsqrl, markiv111, mplscorwin, mplspunky, mplsvala, one_undone, sraun and taffbug. Plus my new niece, my uncle's 80th birthday, the Fringe Festival, guests on Shockwave Radio and me with butterflies.

And as always, corrections are encouraged. I will be adding annotations to the larger pictures as time permits. Many of the Fringe pictures and KFAI guest pictures are associated with archived radio shows and/or podcasts. The larger pictures average about 80K, almost twice as large as I usually post, and the thumbnails are not cropped differently than the picture.
