Very Preliminary Fringe Schedule

Every year, I keep saying that I won't do as many Fringes as the previous year, and every year I manage to see even more. The 2011 Minnesota Fringe Festival looks to be even more interesting than last year, partially because I know more of the participants and partially because I've started coverage earlier and am tapped into the "buzz" more than a week beforehand.

Without trying hard, I scheduled 25 performances:

Thursday, August 4
5:30 p.m. Mother Tongues Core Project Chicago Lab

Those in bold are "must sees" for me, and I could easily have bolded a few more. A few were added from seeing their 3-minute bits at the second Fringe-For-All or from the descriptions in the program book/on the website.

This is, of course, subject to much change.

At the moment, I have three videos up. I'll simply make the links, not embed them, to save bandwidth.
Joe Bozic & Mike Fotis talk about "Once Upon a Time In The Suburbs"
Interview with Tim Mooney Part I
Interview with Tim Mooney Part II

I'll put up the audio files -- the reports submitted to KFAI-FM's News Department (now headed by Dale Connelly) plus the full interviews -- in a separate page on 2011 Fringe coverage (so far) which will be updated as time and energy permit. The page also includes interviews from Fringes in 2005-2010, though not all of them.
